31 Days of Wisdom and Worship – Day 10 – Pastor Ryan Binkley

Wisdom and Worship-Day 10

Wisdom

Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Proverbs 10:4-5

Diligence is one of the attributes of life that God honors.  I have seen many people that are not Christians but have tremendous favor on their life because they understand the importance of diligence.  If you are diligent in life, the bible says that you will stand before kings.  Conversely, one who is lazy in their affairs and in work will end up in poverty.  What’s also important is that you learn to work diligently in the right season.  Solomon says that if you gather crops in the summer or during the harvest you will be wise and it is disgraceful to rest during the harvest season.  Do you recognize the season of life your family, business or ministry is in?  For example, I have a short season with my oldest children to get into them everything I can before they go to college.  In business, we have to recognize the season of when to invest or to cut back.  In ministry, you have to know the season of whether to evangelize or disciple.  In an evangelist season you are reaching out to everyone you can and in a discipling season you are growing and nurturing the ones that God has put in your influence.  Let’s work in the season we are in with all diligence and see what God does in our midst.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.

He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Psalm 18:2, 16-19

Lord, I thank you for delivering me out of all of my troubles! You are my victory! You are the reason I stand today.  Surely my enemies would have devoured me, but you have stayed their hand every time and pushed them back from my life.  I am alive because of you and I praise Your name forever.  You have put me high upon a rock.  You are my salvation and the reason I exist.  Thank you for saving and protecting me! My love and heart is Yours forever. Amen.

Wisdom and Worship-Day 9

Wisdom

““He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

“Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of hell.”

Proverbs 9:7-9, 17-18 NKJV

In life there are some people that really struggle when they are confronted with truth.  We have to be careful to share the truth in love, but realize that even when it is done in love not everyone is going to hear you.  If you correct a scoffer, you will get shame for yourself.  Meaning they will try and turn the tables and say that it is your fault or you are the reason the problem exists.  Then in turn, they will hate you all the more.  If the person has wisdom and is led by the Lord, they will love you for the guidance and appreciate the correction.

This chapter always gives an enlightening reality to tempting situations in secret.  Being in a relationship that you should not be in is stolen water and bread eaten in secret.  Many addictions are often kept in the dark as well.  They seem pleasant at first, but you have to realize that they are a trap and their “guests” are in the depths of hell.

Worship

“LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the LORD; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.”

Psalms 15:1-5 NKJV

Lord, I desire to dwell with You eternally.  Keep my heart upright and my ways pure before You.  Guard my tongue that I would speak the truth and keep my ways from evil.  May I honor those that fear your name and may my life honor You with by living righteously. Lord, help me to have integrity with my finances and in business and may I never be moved from Your presence.  I love You forever. Praise be Your Name.

31 Days of Wisdom and Worship – Day 8 – Pastor Ryan Binkley

Wisdom and Worship-Day 8

Wisdom

“I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth; While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, Or the primal dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, When He established the clouds above, When He strengthened the fountains of the deep, When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth, Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, Rejoicing in His inhabited world, And my delight was with the sons of men. “Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.””

Proverbs 8:23-36 NKJV

This Spirit of Wisdom is the Spirit of Jesus.  He was with the Father as a master craftsman from the very beginning. By Him princes and kings rule.  He says earlier in this chapter that He loves those that love Him.  So, let’s just fall in love with the voice of Wisdom, it is the voice of Jesus.  He is the one behind the gentle whisper of understanding. He is the one leading us and He is the one we seek with all of our heart.  Let’s watch daily at His gates and find Him today. When we find Him we will find life and obtain favor from the Lord.  Whatever you’re going through today, just give it to God and allow Him to lead you and give you wisdom on how to respond to every situation you face.

Worship

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”

Psalms 8:3-5 NKJV

Father, I praise your name today and thank you for being a part of your wonderful creation. You created everything! You created the heavens, the moon, the stars, the fields of the earth, the seas, the mountains, and you have created me in your image.  Who are we that out of all of your creation that you would be mindful of us and visit us?  We thank you for your love, your attention to our lives, and for crowning us with glory and honor. We will forever praise you and today we give you glory and honor for you are worthy!!! Amen.
