Back in August, while my mom was out of town, my alcoholic father physically abused my 20-year-old sister. We called the police on him and they held him in jail for three days. She moved to Florida to start over. Last night, she overdosed and went to the hospital. She is medically stable now but we are all broken emotionally. My mom isn't willing to put her foot down and kick my dad out so I had to make the choice to get out for my own safety. We are so broken right now and don't know what to do or who to turn to. Please pray for my sister, please pray for my mom and for my dad. Please pray for all of us. I know God is near to the broken hearted and I know he is near to us, but it can be really hard to remember His power in all of the chaos and the storm.
