Position Summary
As Next Gen Pastor, you’ll lead both our Kids ministry (birth through 5th grade) and Youth ministry (6th–12th grade). You will shepherd children and students toward faith in Christ, equip and empower volunteer teams, and collaborate with church staff to plan and execute weekly environments, special events, and spiritual formation experiences.

Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders for both ministry streams.
Partner with families: host parent discipleship workshops, maintain regular communication.
Lead large events and retreats (e.g. VBS, camps, student retreats).
Work with Creative and Media teams to maintain engaging environments and digital outreach.
Build and manage ministry budgets; track attendance and engagement metrics.
Participate in all-staff worship and planning meetings.
Work in the office Monday through Thursday 9:30am to 5pm, Sundays 8am to 2pm. Attend all church events.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Passion for working with children and adolescents in a ministry context.
At least 3 years experience leading youth and/or children’s ministry programs.
Strong administrative and communication abilities.
Ability to recruit and develop volunteer teams.
Alignment with Create Church’s values, mission, and doctrinal beliefs.
Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or related field preferred—or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience with digital ministry tools (Planning Center, video platforms, social media).
Experience building seamless progression from Kids into Youth environments.
Understanding of child protection policies and safe background screening practices.
Relationships & Environment
You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Children’s Ministry, Youth Pastor, Creative Arts, and Volunteer Coordination teams—similar in structure to our current team hierarchy.
This is a salaried, full-time role. Evening and weekend responsibilities (e.g. midweek groups, camps) expected.
Background check is required prior to hire (per Create Church policy for staff positions and all roles working with minors).
Why Create Church?
You’ll join a team that values spiritual growth, innovation in ministry, and creating welcoming environments for families. Our ministry culture is relational, creative, and rooted in biblical truth. This role is a direct invitation to shape the spiritual journey of kids and students within our broader mission.
