Wisdom and Worship – Day 2

Wisdom

“Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.”

Proverbs 2:3-5 NKJV

What really struck me this morning was that we need to “cry out” more and “lift” our voices more to the Lord.  When was the last time you vocalized your prayers out loud with a passionate heart?  There have been many times in my life when I have had so many things on my heart to God that I just sat with Him, reflected, thoughtfully spoke to Him, but didn’t really passionately and vocally speak what was on my mind.  Now, sometimes in life, you have to really get your point across and there is no other way to do it than with a little amplification of your voice.  When we need to get our kids attention, it starts out rather calmly, if there is no response, it gets a little higher and so on.  If there is an urgent situation, it gets loud pretty quick because we want to make sure our kids can hear us and recognize immediately the importance of what we see lies ahead.  With God, it is not disrespectful to really tell Him what’s on your mind and what you really need.  This week speak up, cry out, lift your voice up to the Lord.  I have always believed that if Bartimaeus (the blind man in Mark 10) would not have cried out and shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me”, and continued to shout even after he was told to be quiet then the Lord may have passed him by.  Today, we may not be physically blind, but we may be blind to the answers to the problems we face.  We may not be able to see the solutions, the breakthroughs, and the strategies just yet…if you cant see them, then cry out for it, and lift up your voice for understanding. If you really need an answer, then seek His will with all your heart and you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

Worship

““I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.”

Psalms 2:7-8 NKJV

Pray this prayer and worship the One who came for the Nations!

“Lord, we bless Your name today! I thank You for you greatness, your goodness, and we join in and declare the decree:  You are the Son, You are the Messiah, You are the Savior, You came for the nations as an inheritance and the ends of the earth as your possession and I stand with you that this nation and all nations will be saved.  May all the nations, every tribe, and people group come into the saving arms of Your  grace.  May You be glorified and may Your purpose be fulfilled.  May we participate in Your great calling to save the nations and we ask with You that our cities and communities in Dallas and north Texas would be saved.  That everyone would cry out to You and that You would be glorified with a great revival of your people in our generation. Amen.”
